Windows 10, an operating system that is
designed for this era. Conceived with care to accomplish desktop and tablet
tasks in the dame time. Especially when used on pc tablet device, that’s where
it shines the most. This innovation brought with it a whole new vision for what
we can do. Let’s take the Microsoft’s Surface pro series, the most adapted devices
for windows 10, and yet they suffer from screen flickering and distortion
issues.
When you look around in the internet, many
users discussed this issue. And if you’re looking for a cure, I’m here to tell you
that there is no cure unless if you’re willing to pay 450 US dollars. In this
article, I will showcase the solutions that worked for my Surface pro 4.
First, you need to understand that this is a
firmware issue, an incompatibility. It is related to the graphic card (GPU) malfunctioning.
For us users of the Surface pro 4, it is related to the processor (CPU), since
this one acts as a CPU and GPU in the same time. So, we’ll start by making sure
the CPU is working well then, I’ll show you an app with which you can control
your fan speed, or just put it in a freezer whenever it heats up.
Direct your mouse to the windows icon, right
click it and choose device manager or just search it the search bar, then
choose display adapter, click on that intel 510 or 520 depending on what set up
you have. Right click it, uninstall it and reboot your pc. After rebooting,
click on the power button for 30 seconds then release. Your pc will be shut
down by now. Click both your volume up button and your power button, a screen
will appear, choose to exit then reboot.
After rebooting, go to device manager and update
your display adapter. After you’ve done that, your pc will reboot, shut it down
and let it cool down.
This would mean that your display adapter is up
to day and isn’t showing any deficiency. For most people, it works fine from
here. That wasn’t my case. What I do now is monitoring my Surface pro’s temperature
by installing a fan speed monitor. Just type SPEEDFAN in your search engine and
install it or click here.
From now on, you’ll have to take it easy on
your device and monitor its temperature using this app.
