If you’re a fan of gaming on the go but don’t have enough money to buy a gaming laptop, or maybe that you’re at work or somewhere where a you have a really good internet connection with a weak unit, and you want to play anyway to pass your time.
The cloud gaming industry is bringing us a solution for this struggle, only issue here is that both NVIDIA GEFORCE NOW and GOOGLE STADIA require you to own the game before playing. The difference is that NVIDIA GEFORCE NOW requires you to own a copy and then you can play, but for GOOGLE STADIA you need to buy a whole new license just for that platform which isn’t smart for a gamer on the budget.
There’s also a freemium feature in NVIDIA GEFORCE NOW allowing you to play for 1 hour a session (for those of us who want to try before subscribing). Although when I checked in Morocco it asked for 5,49 EUR which is about 5,94 USD which is different from the advertised 5 USD price point but still cheaper from the GOOGLE STADIA service.
Both platforms allow you to stream 1080p content in 60 fps, but there would always be a latency issue for multiplayer games.
Only few games are available on NVIDIA GEFORCE NOW, available to be played on Windows, Mac Os and Android. Here’s the list of games available on NVIDIA GEFORCE NOW:
