Hello and
welcome to SED22, today we’re focusing on Mobile gaming and most importantly
the competition between new releases.
As you may know COD Mobile isn’t either
new nor is it old, but when I got to compare its revenue in its first month,
this game outpassed Fortnite and PUBG mobile.
In
comparison, popular titles invested in the shooter genera, PUBG Mobile only had
60.7 million downloads in its first month, with $3.5 million in revenue.
Fortnite had 35 millon downloads with $27.1 million for its first month.
And at
last Call of Duty: Mobile had 148 million downloads in its first month, with $53.9
million in revenue.
Why is
that?
Simple, Activision
is a triple A game, launching a new product, that’s free to play, bug-free, skin-based
revenue, responsive and customizable interface, launched on both Android and
IOS, and a satisfying Gameplay experience.
Add to that the fact that they
learned from the PUBG mobile success, outsourcing the game creation to Tencent Games,
was a great decision.
That’s it
for now, like us on Facebook for more great news.
